Balázs Tóth started his career at the Hungarian Foreign Trade Bank Ltd., Budapest in 1990 as a corporate relationship manager.

He joined our UniCredit Group in Hungary in 1995 as corporate relationship manager, and in 1997 he became Head of Department responsible for corporate clients.

In 2000 he moved to Bank Austria in Vienna; he was responsible for credit underwriting in International Credit Management CEE (from 2004 as Head of Hungarian Desk).

In 2006 Balázs Tóth returned to UniCredit Bank Hungary and took over the Chief Risk Officer position. In 2008 he was appointed as Member of the Management Board.

From 2017 he was responsible for the Corporate, Investment Banking and Private Banking Division.

Balázs Tóth has been appointed as Chairman & CEO of UniCredit Bank Hungary since April 2019, and starting from 2021 he was the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Hungarian Banking Association till 2022 May, when he was elected as a Member of the Board of the Hungarian Banking Association.
