Between 1997 and 2001, Mr. Zoltán Urbán was the managing director of HypoVereinsbank Hungária, from 2001 he was managing the Hungarian Development Bank as its Deputy CEO, then he became the managing director of Dresdner Bank Hungaria between 2003 and 2004. He worked as the Head of the domestic representative office of Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) from 2004 to 2010, preparing and implementing its domestic expansion. From 2010 he led the Hungarian Development Bank as its Deputy CEO, until he was appointed to be the CEO of Garantiqa Hitelgarancia Zrt. in January 2014. From 5 January 2015, he served as the CEO of Hungarian Export-Import Bank Plc. and the Hungarian Export Credit Insurance Plc.. Mr Zoltán Urbán managed the operations of Hungarian ECAs. As a representative of the Hungarian government, he also represented Hungary as a Member of the Board of Directors for 4 years at the European Investment Bank. He spoke English, German, Swedish and Russian.

He will be remembered fondly.
